Passion Week

Welcome to Passion Week!

This year we are continuing our tradition of providing devotional content to help you fix your eyes upon Jesus and what he has done for us.

In honor of our 40th anniversary, we are mixing new devotionals and songs with recordings of older songs and dramas from previous years of Easter celebrations.

MONDAY

Today, we are reminded of the sufficiency of the sign of Calvary to prove God's love for us in a new devotional. We are also led in worship by Michael Morris, singing the song Empty by Michael Tait, which was originally performed in 2007.

TUESDAY

We continue to enjoy Passion Week together by meditating on what Christ accomplished and enjoying historic performances by our church. Today we remember the way Jesus helps us understand glory in correcting the disciples' selfish ambition. We also worship with Melissa Parris as she sings Alleluia, written by Mary Smith, and originally performed in 2013.

WEDNESDAY

We continue to enjoy Passion Week together by meditating on what Christ accomplished and enjoying historic performances by our church.

Today we are reminded that none of our suffering is wasted and that God uses suffering to bring us closer to the Jesus who suffered on the cross. We also are led in worship by Rosella Washington as she sings Were You There, an African-American spiritual, in 2011.

THURSDAY

As we continue to enjoy Passion Week over the next three days, we will be treated to a historic performance of a three-part sketch, Three Days, performed in 2014.

Angie Sacks and Tim Ashford take us into the fight for faith of Thomas and Mary Magdalene during the events of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Resurrection Sunday. Willie and Tiffani Marshall also lead us in a new cover of the song See How He Loves Us, written by Jon Althoff and Mark Willerton.

FRIDAY

Today we continue Passion Week with part two of Three Days. Thomas and Mary Magdalene continue to fight for faith as everything seems hopeless on Good Friday.

We are also led in worship by Davina Lee as she performs a new cover of Come O Sinner, written by Jordan Kauflin.

SATURDAY

In our last video for Passion Week, we conclude the three-part sketch from our history, Three Days. As despair turns to trust, we pray that your own doubts are fueled with faith this Holy Week.

We are also led in worship by Leo and Melissa Parris as they perform a new cover of God Rested, written by Andrew Peterson.
