Spring Bridge Course

Our next Bridge Course begins with an Introductory Dinner on Wednesday, April 19th at 6:45 pm. The Bridge Course is a 10-week introduction to Christianity where people come each week to learn more about the Christian faith in a relaxed environment. There’s no pressure, and no one will force you to believe anything. We enjoy a free meal together each week and listen to a short message on topics like “How Can God Allow Suffering?” and “Can We Really Trust the Bible?” followed by a small group discussion. It’s a great place to meet new people, and the whole thing is free, including childcare. The Introductory Dinner is on April 12th, and the Bridge Course begins on April 19th. Relay Conference

On January 4-6 of 2024, Covenant Fellowship will host a Sovereign Grace young adults conference called RELAY that is designed to inspire young adults to live for the glory of Christ. Our desire is to inspire this generation to personalize and carry forward our shared doctrine, values, and mission that we cherish as Sovereign Grace churches. While the conference is aimed at college students and young adults (18-25 years old), as well as their leaders, we welcome high school students ages 16-17 and those in their late 20s or 30s. The theme for the conference is Living for Christ Alone and speakers include C.J. Mahaney, Jeff Purswell, Jared Mellinger, Jon Payne, and Dave Taylor, with singing led by Bob Kauflin. Registration is now open. For more information and to register, please visit the Sovereign Grace Website at www.sovereigngrace.com/relay2024.

Women's Breakfast

Our spring Women’s Breakfast will be held on Saturday, April 15, beginning at 9:00 am. The topic for this meeting is “An Intentional Life: Enjoying the Fruit of Self-Control,” and a number of women will be sharing. Please mark your calendars and plan on joining us!

VBS Volunteer Sign Up

Vacation Bible School 2023 will be held on June 19-23 2023!

The 2023 theme is Keepers of the Kingdom: Standing Strong in Today’s Battle for Truth. Your students K-5th grade will learn how to be a part of God’s Kingdom and what it means to put on the Armor of God. Each day they will learn about one piece of the armor (the belt of truth, the breastplate, the shoes, the shield, the helmet, the sword) and how they are needed to battle for truth.

If you would like to join in this adventure, we need volunteers! There are opportunities available to serve both before and during the week of VBS.

Childcare will be provided for those serving with children under 5 years old.

Sunday School

Our Sunday School classes will start on Sunday, March 12! We will have 3 classes this spring, and all of them will meet from 8:30-9:30am at the Marshall House.

Marty will teach the first class on Introduction to Biblical Theology, Bill will teach the second class on The Book of Proverbs, and Mark will teach the final class on the Person and Work of the Holy Spirit.

Costa Rica Missions Trip

We are organizing a mission trip to Playa Azul, Costa Rica, to deepen our partnership with pastor Chespi and Iglesia Biblical Playa Azul. We are going to complete a service project to continue to bless this community and also to hold an evangelism seminar led by Jim Donohue.

We've actually gone the last two years to this church. So why are we going back?

1) They deeply desire us to come! Our presence and work have massively impacted helped them persevere with joy in reaching out to their community. The projects we have completed have also continued to restore dignity to their community.

2) This church is in the process of becoming adopted into Sovereign Grace. By going and getting to know one another, we are helping them understand our partnership and feel that they belong to our family of churches.

If you are 18 or older, able bodied, and eager to work, please pray about joining us! Speaking Spanish is also a big bonus, but not necessary! We will travel June 5-12th. Registration closes in March.

Renewing Your Mind - Spring Session

In the fall, we launched a monthly Sunday evening context called Renewing Your Mind, where we brought a biblical perspective to the topics filling our headlines and social media feeds. It includes a time of teaching, panel, and Q&A discussion.

These monthly meetings are back beginning on February 19, and the topics for the spring are:

February 19 - The Church and the Culture War (Jared M)

March 19 - The Church and Gender Roles (Rob)

April 16 - The Church and Media (Jared T)

May 21 - The Bible and Abuse (Mark)

No registration is needed. All are invited to attend.

These contexts provide a great opportunity for all of us to press toward strengthening our biblical worldview in a world that is assaulting it every day. We hope you benefit from these classes.
