Sunday Conversations

Groups of women discuss how to apply specific biblical truths in their shared season of life.

The branch of our women’s ministry called Sunday Conversations is an opportunity for groups of women to discuss how biblical truths apply to their specific situations. These meetings will be held after church from 12-1:30 in the Community Room on the second Sundays of most months and will include a simple lunch.

We’ll focus on topics that apply to three groups: Women in the Workplace, Younger Women, and Older Women. Our Younger Women group is intended for those aged 18-40, while our Older Women context leans towards those 40 and up. Women close to 40 should feel free to attend meetings that apply best to their situations. All topics will not be relevant to all women, but we welcome you to attend those that apply. We do ask that you register so we can order lunch. We hope you can join us!

Prioritizing Bible Reading and Prayer in Our Full Lives

Younger women juggle a lot, so it's helpful to regularly evaluate our habits and priorities. At this lunch, we'll discuss what keeps us from daily time with the Lord and consider practical ways to prioritize the “one thing needed” (Luke 10:42).

How Loss Can Be Gain

As we enter the middle years, we begin to feel the loss of cherished roles, energy, beauty, and even loved ones. Our redeeming God shows us through his Word how these losses can be gains.

Words that Help and Heal

Our words are powerful tools that affect those around us. As friendships and families mature, opportunities to influence abound. At this lunch, we’ll discuss how to use our speech to bring blessing and grace to those God has placed in our lives.

Dealing with Difficult Doctrines and the Fears They Bring

Sometimes we feel reactionary about certain topics regarding biblical womanhood, parenting, predestination, and others. Join this conversation for help in moving from avoidance to engagement with a welcoming God who meets us in our questions.
